SWINGING VOICES OF BAD GIRLS MÜNSTER GERMANY Type: SSAA Members: 35 Founded: 2006 ABOUT Unter diesem Motto singen die ca. 20 "Swinging Voices of Bad Girls" zwischen 30 und 60 Jahren seit Dezember 2006. Chorarbeit bedeutet für uns: die Freude am Singen, am Zusammenklang der Stimmen, an gemeinsamen Lernerfolgen und Auftritten zu ermöglichen. Das Repertoire besteht aus einer bunten Mischung aus deutschen und englischen Folk- und Popsongs. Ein paar Freundinnen taten sich unter dem Motto “Singen macht schön und hält jung” zusammen und gründeten damit Nürnbergs ersten Lesbenchor. ​ Unter der Leitung von D’ Oro proben wir wöchentlich in der Sakristei der Gostenhofer Dreieinigkeitskirche und können nach 3 Jahren schon ein beachtliches Programm vorweisen. ​ Wir bestechen durch unwiderstehlichen Charme und witzige, selbstgeschriebene Texte durch die wir bisher die Gunst aller Zuhörerinnen und Zuhörer erwerben konnten. ​ In mid-2010, the success story of tinnitus began. Le chœur est membre adhérent du Centre LGBT de Paris. Composée de gays, de lesbiennes et de leurs ami-e-s, le chœur Equivox a été créé en 1989 par une dizaine d'amis pour participer aux « Gay Games » de Vancouver. ​ Cela fait maintenant 26 ans qu’Equivox donne de la voix, avec 8 à 10 concerts par an dont des concerts de rue. Comptant aujourd’hui environ 80 choristes, Equivox constitue l’unique chœur de Paris qui soit à la fois gay et lesbien. ​ Nous sommes très attaché-e-s à cette mixité, tant pour des raisons musicales que par philosophie. Cette ouverture s’étend d’ailleurs au-delà des orientations sexuelles à toutes celles et tous ceux qui aiment chanter. The choir is a member of the LGBT Center in Paris. Made up of gays, lesbians and their friends, the Equivox choir was created in 1989 by a dozen friends to participate in the "Gay Games" in Vancouver. ​ Equivox has been giving voice for 26 years, with 8 to 10 concerts a year, including street concerts. Today, with around 80 singers, Equivox is the only choir in Paris that is both gay and lesbian. ​ We are very attached to this mix, both for musical reasons and philosophy. Mit der neuen Chorleiterin Andrea Ludewig bringen wir unsere Körper nicht nur via Stimme zum Klingen, sondern betreten ungewohntes Terrain. Kraftvolle Stücke von A wie Aufbrechen bis Z wie Zusammenhalten. Dankbar schauen wir auf 30 bewegte Jahre. Aber was hat sich in dieser Zeit im Leben der Donnas ereignet? Da darf das Publikum miträtseln. Wir freuen uns sehr, unser Jubiläum mit den »Liederlichen Lesben« zu begehen, die in den Weltraum reisen. DE HOMOFONE COPENHAGEN DENMARK Type: SATB Founded: 1991 # Wonderful Supporting members 3 # Wonderful members 28 ABOUT De Homofone was established in 1991 as one of the first gay and lesbian choirs in Denmark. The choir still plays a vivid role in the gay and lesbian community of Copenhagen and often participates in various gay events as well as arranging our own concerts at least twice a year. De Homofone first participated in Various Voices in Munich in 1997 and is now participating in Various Voices for the fourth time. Today the choir consists of about 30 gay and lesbian singers with ages ranging from their late twenties to early sixties - all of us with a love for music, dancing and partying! ​ Throughout the years the choir has worked with a variety of musical genres but now we prefer the rhythmical genre. On our present repertoire are songs by e.g. Stevie Wonder, Queen and Manhattan Transfer. However, no matter the genre, the main focus for us is to have fun and - hopefully - spread the joy of music. We love performing - and whether performing at the romantic, old Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, a swimming stadium or Queen Elisabeth Hall, we are sure you will feel our spirit! You can expect our concert to be lively and fun and to leave you with a number of catchy songs on your mind! ​ Since January 2006 De Homofone has been conducted by Lars Lienhøft Larsen. Lars is an energetic and charismatic director with a strong sense of rhythm. Lars has a wide musical experience; as a choir conductor for more than 6 years, as a keyboard player in various rock and funk bands as well as many years of experience as a church singer. Lars also studied music and theatre at the University of Copenhagen for several years, however, ended his studies to chase another dream: to enter the police force. Now this dream has come true and Lars is guarding the streets as well as the choir's intonation! Lars carries out both of jobs with just the right amount of humor and authority! ​ The choir is accompanied by Fredrik Mellqvist on piano. Fredrik is a superb pianist/keyboard player trained at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. The choir has had the pleasure to work with Fredrik many times - one of them being at Various Voices in Paris. Apart from working with us Fredrik runs a large recording studio and plays in a jazz trio which has recently released their second album. LEINEPERLEN HANNOVER GERMANY Type: SSAA Members: 30 Founded: 2007 ABOUT Weiblich, lesbisch, chorbegeistert - wir sind die Leineperlen! Since 2007 we have been a lesbian choir in Hanover with about 25 women. We rehearse on Thursdays in the Südstadt on a weekly basis. Once a year we do a rehearsal weekend. We perform in and around Hannover in concerts. Our musical director is Lara Lübbe. She is a singer, composer and vocal pedagogue. Under her professional musical direction, we sing three to four-part choir sets from pop and hit from different times. Sometimes with your own cheeky lyrics. The Leineperlen was founded in 2007. We have been making our own concerts since then, have often been guests at cultural events and regularly accompany events from the queer spectrum Wir sind die Leineperlen. Seit 2007 gibt es uns als Lesbenchor in Hannover mit rund 25 Frauen. Wir proben wöchentlich donnerstags in der Südstadt. Einmal jährlich machen wir ein Probenwochenende. Wir treten in und um Hannover in Konzerten auf. Wir singen unter professioneller musikalischer Leitung drei- bis vierstimmige Chorsätze aus Pop und Schlager aus verschiedenen Zeiten. Manchmal mit eigenen frechen Texten. Mitmachen? Wir freuen uns über neue Chorfrauen in jeder Stimmlage. Zur Zeit suchen wir vor allem Frauen, die sehr tief singen können. TADAM! ALKMAAR THE NETHERLANDS Type: SATB Members: 18 founded: ? ABOUT Tadam! is een mooie groep eigenzinnige vrouwen uit Alkmaar en omstreken die hun liefde voor wereldmuziek delen. Tadam! zingt meerstemmige wereld-muziek, meestal a capella, soms met percussie, dan weer met een accordeon, fluit of klarinet. ​ Wereldmuziek ​ Tadam! zingt liederen uit alle windstreken, van Lapland tot Zuid-Afrika, van Rusland tot Chili. Muziek die vaak van vader op zoon of van moeder op dochter is doorgegeven. Muziek die gezongen wordt bij alle hoogte- en dieptepunten van het leven. Dus opzwepende dansliederen, lieve wiegeliedjes, statige en vrolijke bruiloftsliederen, blije liedjes over de liefde die komt, melancholische liedjes over de liefde die gaat. ​ Tadam! zingt bruisend Braziliaans, heerlijk Hongaars, schitterend Schots, Yin & Yang Japans, grappig Grieks, zwierig Zweeds, fel Fins en poëtisch Perzisch….
