Four years later the Divas sang in the Sydney Opera House as part of the next Gay Games. DIE KÖLNER SPITZBUBEN COLOGNE GERMANY Type: TTBB Members: 16 Founded: 2004 Legato member 2017-2021 ABOUT We are a choir of mostly gay men under the direction of a charming professional musician and are always looking forward to interested singers who want to be part of it. Our common goal is to have fun with music. In the process, the choir sound, which is as good as possible, is more important than choreographic and dramaturgical elements. We sing pieces from all epochs - from baroque to pop, pop; From Mozart to Queen or Schubert to Bernstein. We sing mostly German and English, but if it is also French, Italian and even Swedish. On average, we have our own evening-filling program once a year. In addition, the SPITZbuben are occasionally experiencing excerpts from our current repertoire at events in and around Cologne (eg Münster, Winterberg, Hamburg, Leipzig). Wir sind ein Chor überwiegend schwuler Männer unter der Leitung einer bezaubernden Profimusikerin und freuen uns jederzeit über interessierte Sänger, die mit dabei sein möchten. Unser gemeinsames Ziel ist es vor allem, Spaß am Musizieren zu haben. Dabei steht eher ein möglichst guter Chorklang im Vordergrund, als choreographische und dramaturgische Elemente. Wir singen Stücke aus allen Epochen - von Barock über Schlager bis Pop; von Mozart bis Queen oder Schubert bis Bernstein. Wir singen meist Deutsch und Englisch, wenn es sich ergibt aber auch Französisch, Italienisch und sogar Schwedisch. Im Schnitt haben wir einmal pro Jahr ein eigenes abendfüllendes Programm. We relish the sound of our voices coming together and of experimenting with unusual harmonies. Die Classical Lesbians aus Berlin sind ein A-capella-Chor mit mehr als 25 Sänger*innen zwischen 25 und 65 Jahren. Die Liebe zur klassischen Chormusik und zu Frauen verbindet uns seit 1996! GO CLASSICAL, Lesbians! Jahr für Jahr präsentieren wir abwechslungsreiche Programme. Wir singen mittelalterliche, polyphone Sätze, romantische Lieder oder zeitgenössische experimentelle Stücke. Mal voller Power, mal sanft und gefühlvoll, mal leidenschaftlich, komisch oder dramatisch interpretiert. Einige Partituren wurden eigens für uns geschrieben, so von der Komponistin Mayako Kubo. Für uns ist es eine politische Sache, dass wir als lesbischer Chor auftreten und sichtbar sind. Aus der Berliner queeren Kulturszene sind wir nicht mehr wegzudenken. Gemeinsam mit anderen queeren Chören und Ensembles beteiligen wir uns an Queer Music. Aber auch außerhalb Berlins sind wir zu hören, so auf dem bundesweiten FrauenLesbenChöreTreffen und dem internationalen queeren Chorfestival Various Voices. Mit vielen lesbisch-schwulen Chören u.a. aus Hamburg, München, Amsterdam, London und Stockholm verbinden uns wunderschöne gemeinsame Konzerte. Eine Herzensangelegenheit ist uns die Unterstützung sozialer Projekte mit Benefizkonzerten für Berliner FrauenLesbenProjekte. Alle Jahre wieder singen wir bei der Schönen Bescherung, dem traditionellen Adventssingen queerer Chöre. Wir lieben Socializing. Wir genießen unsere Auftritte und die ausgelassene Stimmung danach. Jeden Freitag nach der "strapaziösen" Chorprobe stärken wir uns in unserer urigen Stammkneipe mit Bier und Bratkartoffeln. Und: gemeinsamer Chorgesang bringt uns Spaß und gute Laune. Außerdem machen wir einmal im Jahr eine Landpartie und fahren zum Chorwochenende. CHORYFEEN KIEL GERMANY Type: SSAA Members: 20 Founded: 1993 ABOUT Wir sind 20 leidenschaftlich singende Frauen, die durch Vielfältigkeit zu bestechen wissen. Unsere Mischung besteht aus unserer Lebensform (lesbisch und hetera) und aus unseren stimmlichen Voraussetzungen und Notenkenntnissen. ​ Seit Januar 2015 fürt uns Heike Boyens sicher und unbeirrbar durch alle Höhen und Tiefen der Chorsätze. Wir singen drei- bis vierstimmig, unser Repertoire reicht von traditionellen Liedern über Schlager, Pop-Songs bis hin zu Jazz-Standards - gerne auch mit eigenen Texten. ​ Die Anfänge des Chores liegen schon mehr als 20 Jahre zurück. Was damals als erster Spontangesang in kleinem Kreis begann, ist inzwischen zu einer festen Institution unter den singbegeisterten Frauen von Kiel und Umgebung geworden. Eine zu schreibende Chorchronik gäbe so manches her! ​ Auftrittserfahrung?... Haben wir! DA CAPO AL DENTE BREMEN GERMANY Type: SATB Founded: 1997 # Wonderful Supporting members 1 # Wonderful members 25 ABOUT Willkommen bei Da Capo al dente, dem ersten lesbisch-schwulen Chor in Bremen. Wir haben Spaß am Singen und treffen uns jeden Donnerstag von 20 bis 22 Uhr in der Waller Musikschule in der Schleswiger Straße 4. Zweimal im Jahr fahren wir zusammen auf ein Chorwochenende und singen, singen, singen. ​ Da capo al dente gründete sich 1997 als erster lesbisch-schwuler Chor in Bremen. Regelmäßige Konzerte mit abendfüllendem Bühnenprogramm und kleinere Auftritte zu verschiedenen Anlässen, etwa beim jährlichen Gottesdienst zum Welt-Aids-Tag, haben den Chor längst zu einer festen Größe in der Bremer Chorszene wie auch im lesbisch-schwulen Kulturleben der Stadt werden lassen. ​ Rund 35 Sängerinnen und Sänger proben aktuell unter der Leitung von Washington de Oliveira. Das Repertoire reicht von Renaissance bis Pop quer durch die Epochen und Stilrichtungen, teilweise mit lesbisch-schwulen Umtextungen und choreographischer Präsentation. ​ "Da capo al dente" founded in 1997 as the first lesbian and gay choir in Bremen. CHORYPHÄEN COLOGNE GERMANY Type: SSAA Members: 16 Founded: 1997 ABOUT Die Choryphäen entstanden im April 1997 in Köln als ein gemischter Frauenchor unter der Leitung von Romy Kamerun. Zwei Jahre später übernahm Céline Rudolph das Dirigat und erweiterte das Repertoire um afrikanische und lateinameri-kanische Klänge. Seit 2002 singt der Chor unter meiner Leitung. Unser Repertoire hat sich in den Jahren quer durch die Epochen und Stilrichtungen bewegt: von den Beatles bis Tom Waits, Sinéad O´Connor oder Willi Ostermann, von "Sweet Honey is in the Rock" und Traditionals. Heute sind wir ein Ensemble von 13 musikbegeisterten Frauen, die ihren Spaß an gemeinsamem Gesang und der Musik zum Ausdruck bringen. Das Repertoire umfasst ausgewählte, oft von mir arrangierte Lieder und Kompositionen verschiedener Genres. Begleiten lassen wir uns auf unseren Konzerten meistens vom Klavier, zuweilen auch anderen Instrumenten, aber immer von wunderbaren Musikern. E' composto da donne e uomini di tutti gli orientamenti sessuali e identità di genere e si propone come realtà inclusiva e aggregativa, con una missione politica sulle tematiche Lgbtq proprie dell'associazione. Da settembre 2020 si è costituita come associazione indipendente. Ha promosso e organizzato incontri corali e spettacoli tematici fra teatro e musica, per sensibilizzare sui temi come il contrasto all'omo-transfobia e alla misoginia, per la lotta all'aids, la memoria storica e attuale della persecuzione omofobica. Wir spielen Musik von Jazz über Latin bis Pop. Gespielt wird was gefällt. Unsere Mission: Let´s get loud & Let´s get big! Unser Motto: Hauptsache, es macht Spaß - uns und dem Publikum! Unser Rezept: Groove + Spaß = mitreißender Output Anstoß für unsere Gründung war die Initiative der Münchner LGBT-Chöre, anlässlich der Ausrichtung des Chorfestivals Various Voices 2018 in München auch ein queeres Ensemble zu gründen. So entstanden im Januar 2015 die beiden LGBT*-and- Friends-Ensembles, die unter den Namen Various Sounds Big Band und Various Sounds Orchester seither die Münchner queere Musikszene bereichern. Seit Frühjahr 2017 ist die Big Band nun eine eigenständige Gruppe und wir haben uns umbenannt in Groove Sistaz. Die Leiterin Daniela Steidle, professionelle Musikerin mit verschiedenen Band- und Chorformationen, bringt die Groove Sistaz mit viel Elan und Humor musikalisch voran. KOMOS CORO LGBT DI BOLOGNA BOLOGNA ITALY Type: SATB Founded: 2008 # Wonderful Supporting members 0 # Wonderful members 32 ABOUT Il coro Komos – primo coro maschile gay d’Italia – diretto da Lorenzo Orlandi è stato fondato nel settembre 2008. Il primo gruppo di coristi, con la comune passione per la musica e il canto, ha svolto la propria attività corale in diverse sedi a partire dal Circolo Arcigay “Matthew Shepard” di Modena, poi a Bologna presso il Cassero, sede dell’Arcigay Nazionale, dove ha debuttato in marzo 2009. Successivamente presso i locali della Parrocchia di San Bartolomeo della Beverara ove gli è stata offerta cortese ospitalità dal parroco Don Nildo Pirani. Dal 2011 presso la Chiesa Evangelica Metodista di Bologna e Modena, in Via Giacomo Venezian, in pieno centro a Bologna a due passi da Piazza Maggiore e dalle Due Torri. Da settembre 2012 il coro Komos ha aderito al progetto musicale dell’omonima Associazione Culturale istituita nel luglio dello stesso anno, diventandone parte. Il Coro ha così intensificato le sue esperienze musicali sia a livello nazionale, sia europeo, molto spesso con la collaborazione di noti artisti e professionisti della scena lirica e musicale italiana ed internazionale. Il repertorio del Coro, in continua evoluzione, spazia dal Rinascimento al Romanticismo, dall’opera al Novecento fino alla contemporaneità, includendo prime esecuzioni italiane ed assolute (Romeu e eu, scritto per Komos da Antonio Giacometti, Divo e mortale di Mattia Culmone), oltre a brani pop in arrangiamenti originali. Tra i tanti eccellenti musicisti che collaborano con il coro: i soprani Jessica Pratt, Tiziana Tramonti, Eleonora Cilli, Caterina Di Tonno, Arianna Donadelli, il mezzo Federica Carnevale, il controtenore Flavio Ferri Benedetti, i tenori Enea Scala e Jason Ferrante, i baritoni Alfonso Antoniozzi e Giorgio Caoduro e i poliedrici ed inclassificabili Michael Aspinall e Drusilla Foer. Komos, first gay men's chorus of Italy, was born in September 2008, the brainchild of director Paul V. Montanari. Through an intensive recruitment activities through print and web, it is the first group of singers who share a passion for music and singing, they actually founded the choir komos choral conducting its business at the Circle Arcigay "Matthew Shepard" of Modena. Soon as a result of increasing participation, this seat has proved cramped and no longer suitable, so the choir moved to Bologna. First at The Keep, home of the National Arcigay, which debuted in March 2009 joined by soprano Tiziana Tramonti, from the tenor Jason Ferrante and pianist Mario Sollazzo . Thanks to the availability and kindness of the pastor and his community, as well as to support the brave Master Shoe Iolando in favor of our music project, this has become the registered office of komos which was formed in 2011 as an Association of Social Promotion. Both the enhancement and respect for differences as the exaltation of the universality of music as a global language, have helped to create within the choral group a distinctly multicultural reality that has emerged over time as a valuable peculiarities of komos. To date, the adventurous and daring journey of Komosnauti offers many musical and cultural experiences at national and European level, often with the collaboration of well-known artists and professionals of the stage musical and lyrical Italian and international.
