Doodles was founded in September 2011 in Prague, and in 2016, they are celebrating 5th anniversary. Thanks to the broad musical tastes their repertoire includes a colourful palette of musical genres, such as Renaissance music, folk songs, classical men’s chorus music from the 19th and 20th centuries, opera, spirituals, musicals, famous melodies from the Beatles, or 80s and 90s pop. The choir sings a capella as well as with accompaniment, and some of the songs even have choreography.

Doodles want to contribute to overcoming prejudices and promoting mutual respect through music. Doodles has eagerly joined the wider family of LGBT choirs in Europe. Following its joint performance with the London Gay Men’s Chorus in August 2015 at the New Scene of the National Theatre in Prague, in 2016 the choir was preparing for a trip to Paris to sing with the gay and lesbian choir Podium Paris. The choir is also looking forward to 2018 for the large gathering of LGBT choirs “Various Voices” in Munich, Germany.

Pěvecký sbor Doodles byl založen v září 2011 v Praze. Díky různorodému zaměření můžete od Doodles slyšet širokou paletu žánrů sahající od renesanční hudby a lidových písní, přes věhlasná díla klasické mužské sborové tvorby 19. a 20. století, operní sbory či operetu až po spirituál, muzikál, slavné melodie od Beatles anebo pop 80. a 90. let. Sbor zpívá s doprovodem i bez něj, k několika písním má i choreografii.

Doodles by se rádi spolupodíleli na bourání předsudků a šíření vzájemného respektu prostřednictvím hudby a čile se zapojují do široké rodiny LGBT sborů v Evropě. V srpnu 2015 sbor vystoupil společně s London Gay Men’s Chorus na Nové scéně Národního divadla, v následujícím roce podnikl své první zahraniční vystoupení s pařížským gay & lesbickým sborem Podium Paris přímo v Paříži. Kromě toho už vyhlíží do roku 2018, kdy se v Mnichově koná velký slet LGBT sborů „Various voices".
