South Wales Gay Men's Chorus
joined Legato: 2014
The South Wales Gay Men's Chorus was formed in February 2008 and has grown very quickly to a 40 + strong choir singing everything from early music to rock, including show-tunes, the odd novely item and, of course, traditional music from Wales, the land of song!
In July 2008, the choir made their first public appearance, with the Brighton and Hove (actually) Gay Men's Chorus for two sell-out concerts at the start of the Brighton Pride event and on the 5th September 2008, the BHaGMC joined us for our first concert on 'home-turf', in Cardiff.
Since then, the SWGMC have performed regularly and have gained a reputation for hight quality performance of a wide and varied repertoire.
Recent appearances include stinging in the Senedd (National Assembly for Wales), The Welsh Millennium Centre, London's Cadogan Hall, Cardiff City Hall, Swansea Grand Theatre, Cardiff's Sherman Theatre and many more.
